This prestigious, international accolade, is an accomplishment on a global scale, that positions Ben, and his team at TRENZSEATER, at the pinnacle of the Interior Design industry. The credibility that goes with such a high achievement is one that Ben is humbled, honoured and privileged to have received. This was the 3rd consecutive year that Ben has been a finalist in these Awards. This recognition reinforces Ben’s passion & enthusiasm for interior design, along with his commitment and eye for detail, enabling him to bring to you the very best in international interior design!
There were over 86,000 votes in total this year, with voting playing an important part to the final results of the awards. We can’t thank all of you enough in voting for Ben’s entry, your support and generosity is most sincerely appreciated. A huge thank you as well, to our very generous client, who allowed us to enter their project in the awards this year. We feel very privileged and have thoroughly enjoyed working with them throughout their exciting project – thank you.
Considered as one of the most prestigious accolades in interior design by the best in the industry, the SBID International Design Awards are awarded purely on the quality of the design, innovation, aesthetic and value-added to the project. Each entry undergoes an exhaustive two-tier judging process by panels of leading industry experts for both technical content and aesthetic creativity. Evaluating essential elements such as compliance with the brief, budget, health & safety and fit-for-purpose design. The Public Vote is the final tier of scoring, the public are invited to cast their votes for their favourite entries, as their votes will be counted towards the overall results.
The SBID Awards were recently accredited as the first interior design awards scheme to achieve GOLD standard by The Independent Awards Standards Council and were commended as “exemplar in how awards should be operated”.
TRENZSEATER ‘s project “Blakely Residence” was selected by the technical panel followed by the judges in the first two stages of the process. The Judges decisions is then finalised by a third tier online public vote, where all finalists’ designs are judged by the public, The public are now invited to cast their votes for their favourite entries at www.sbidawards.com. Last year, the awards received over 225,000 unique voters during the voting period.
Public voting will close on Monday 9th September 2019
The winners will be announced and awarded with a bespoke crystal trophy designed by Sans Souci glass deco at the official ceremony, held at The Dorchester hotel in London on Friday 26 October 2019.

The International Design & Architecture Awards are held in September at the Grosvenor House Hotel, in London, where the sponsors will announce and award the winning entries with their trophies. As part of the judging process, like last year, the public has an opportunity to vote for their favourite entry, so we will be in touch closer the time when voting opens in August this year.

To mark the seventieth anniversary of the death of Mariano Fortuny y Madrazo, and to coincide with the 58th edition of the Venice Biennale, Palazzo Fortuny pays tribute to the versatile Spanish artist by highlighting the importance of the family context in his artistic development with the exhibition The Fortuny. A family story (11 May – 24 November 2019), curated by Daniela Ferretti with Cristina Da Roit, in collaboration with Axel & May Vervoordt Foundation.
Fortuny – Venetia Studium is proud to be among the lenders of this exhibition that celebrates the creativity of an ingenious and versatile artist, who dedicated his life to painting, sculpture, photography, graphics, interior decoration, clothing, set design and lighting.
Fortuny – Venetia Studium lent not only some of the traditional Delphos dresses and pleated scarves, but also several original lamps and a collection of wooden molds made by Mariano Fortuny himself and now used by the brand to produce handmade fabrics and clothing.
