TRENZSEATER is delighted to announce that for the 4th consecutive year, interior designer Ben Lewis is a finalist in London, at the SBID International Design Awards for 2021 (Society of British International Design).

The SBID International Design Awards has firmly established itself arguably as the most prestigious Interior Design Award events in the global design calendar, representing talent and design excellence across all corners of the industry. Submissions were received from over 49 countries, each entry undergoes an exclusive two-tier judging process by panels of leading industry experts from Christian Louboutin, Bentley Motors, Boeing, Walpole and Belmond to name a few, making it truly an honour and a sign of industry recognition that is second to none for the deserving winners.

The awards recognise, reward and celebrate design excellence across a broad range of design categories. Winning a SBID International Design Award is a high achievement – they are evaluated by leading industry experts for their technical content and aesthetic creativity while the design-conscious public also has a say in choosing the most inspiring projects.

To complete the final stage of the judging process, the public are now invited to vote for their favourite projects at www.sbidawards.com. Culminating with a captivating ceremony in London’s latest luxury lifestyle destination, the winning entries will be announced and awarded with a bespoke crystal trophy designed exclusively by Sans Souci Glass Deco at the Nobu Hotel Portman Square on Friday 22 October 2021.

“Interior design has to be one of the hardest design disciplines to impress on an international level. The sheer size and opulence of many projects in London and Europe are tough competition for New Zealanders.

But, for the fifth consecutive year, Christchurch interior designer Ben Lewis of Trenzseater has been shortlisted for the International Design & Architecture Awards, hosted by design et al magazine in London.

This year’s project was commissioned by Garry Mayne Architecture, says Lewis. “We were updating furnishings on a project that was architecturally designed – it’s a project we have previously been involved with. We were briefed to finish various spaces by updating the furnishings and introducing new furniture, lighting and accessories to give the project a more complete, curated look, style and feel.””

TRENZSEATER is delighted to announce that Ben has been shortlisted for The International Design & Architecture Awards 2020. His entry was one of just ten shortlisted by an acclaimed judging panel in the prestigious International Design & Architecture Awards in London. As part of the judging process, the public has an opportunity to vote for their favourite entry.

The second phase of Voting for all shortlisted projects will open on Wednesday 9th June, 12:00pm BST, and will run for 2 weeks only.

The International Design & Architecture Awards celebrate the excellence in the interior design and architecture industry on a global scale, recognised by leading designers and architects in the industry as the benchmark in global design.
